Ehh che!!!

What is up!? Gosh this week flew by! Like Jake said in his Email the mission is like a girl friend... I feel like I'm a newly wed and I love me new area and Comp. Things are so much alive here. I loved Romero but it Budge is just a little better girlfriend. My comp is from Paraguay and very, kinda like crazy. Much more my type of comp. I just feel more alive, more like a missionary, and just feel like I'm in the right spot. My comp is just awesome with helping me with the lang. Hes not afraid to call me out, In any situation... haha

We have been working hard and been finding new people. The people here actually keep the commitments and remember their appointments. Its a miracle. Anyways I'm heading into honeymoon and ready to kill it this week. There are so many things I've learned in the 6 or something months i have been out its crazy.

I just know this church is true. If it wasn't I would buy a plane ticket home because this is the hardest thing ever but because i know it is There is nothing i would rather be doing or testifying of.
Keep it real out there. Pray hard and keep The ten commandments!

Hello Budge!

So today was transfers and I got shipped out. It was very hard to leave Romero and the people I was able to meet and connect with there. I will always remember them and the experiences there in my first area. Well my new area is straight villa and most dangerous area in the mission. I should be getting some stories soon haha!  My comp seems like a very confident dude and pretty fun so its kinda refreshing to have someone with energy and that I can actually talk to. I live in a room above a members house with another companionship. I haven't had a transfer with only my comp and I living together. I like it a lot. Its so much more fun.

Last week in Romero we found a family that's soooo awesome but I left... those hours of walking and trying to find someone paid off.  Only to leave a couple of days later haha!  But its all good. Its crazy how fast time is going by and how Jake has 18 months... What?!  This time is very precious and I'm trying to make the most of it. Definitely a lot of sincere prayers and a lot of things that I'm learning. Needless to say, the Lord works on us missionaries a lot in these 2 years and I couldn't be more grateful.
Well, I love you all be safe smart and be awesome

What's good from La Plata

SO this week was really weird. Or it just felt weird I think I'm just dazed and confused.  I don't know whats going on half the time. The work is really slowing down here. We decided to just find new people. the people that don't just listen to us because "they respect everyone" but don't keep any commitments... so it was a week of lots of walking and my feet hurt.

The temple was awesome!  The trip took all day but so worth it. My zone is mostly hermanas but the zone leaders are studs. One is leaving next week and I'm going to be so sad, we get along really well. Good new is that I know enough Spanish to understand everything and hold my own in the temple haha.
The weather here is soooo weird for me. one day I'm just dying then there's a huge storm and its super humid then cold then hot it is terrible. I got a bad fever from it and still trying to recover from it. But I'm still going at it.  My comp thinks I'm faking it or something so we didn't really take it easy even though i thought i was going to die.

Everything is really tranquilo here and my mind is kinda blank right now. Transfers are next week so I'll probably get shipped out of my house into some ghetto villa... ahh we will see.
Thank you everyone for all the love. Love you guys

January 27, 2014

Hey so the last couple of p days have been kinda crazy and i had 0 time to write so sorry for that..

So last week I had the opportunity to have intercambois con the assistant.. needless to say i was kinda freaking out because i feel like a retard out here half the time. But we actually had a really good day and I learned sooo much. The success we had that day kickstarted that week and this week. The work is starting to pick up we find about 12 new people a week and teach a good amount. The problem is no one does anything. The famous line i hear is "I'm not going to promise anything but ya I'll do it". Sometimes I cant help but just laugh a little bit when they say that but don't worry i play it off pretty good. We did find a guy yesterday that is soo awesome and gave me some hope for a legit person. He had a Libro De Mormon form a friend and has been reading a little. Right now hes the "Golden Investigator" his name is Alburto. The best part about every lesson for me is when THEY pray for the first time. I think that's when they and i can always feel the spirit the most.

So P days ¿What does Elder Jackson DO?!! I go to La Plata almost every week for zone or district activities which consist of futbol (I SUCK) and eating . I have not had one day to just chill since I've been here.... I'm Freaking out. I need my me time. Last week we did have an awesome zone activity at a members house and we had a super legit asado. The problem was that it took 2 hours each way. Travel here is such a joke. I got on a bike for the first time on my mish this week and i hated it. these bikes are like 50 lbs and the seats are painful. we only use them for like 2 days a week though which is nice.

My spanish is better but I still get laughed at and they probably don't understand anything. But I can understand basically everything which is comforting. I get to go to the temple this week! We are going with our zone. Every year there is a temple trip so I'm super stoked.

current stats:
around 90 kilos
spanish sub par
tears shed: 0
empanadas eaten: 1000

Well love all you guys!

Keep your light burning bright.

January 13, 2014

I didn't get a general letter from Alec this week, but I will share his insights that he wrote for me...needless to say, it brought me to tears to read his beautiful counsel to me.  There is nothing in this world more amazing than a mission...to be immersed in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ can ONLY bring about a maturity and spirit like this out of an 18 year old boy.

Hello,

So sounds like everything is going good at home. I have studied patience a lot and I feel like this can relate if I can remember... in a talk by Uckdurf? haha last October?  He gave a talk on patience and it's really good you need to read it.  Anyway I feel like patience and faith walk hand in hand.  If you have faith that the Lord has a plan and His plan is perfect, you will have patience to go through all the crap to get the end goal. Patience is actively waiting without getting frustrated and having all the bad vibes. I know the Lord has a plan for you and His hand is guiding you through this experience in every aspect.  In my Patriarchal blessing the 3rd page halfway down talks about the things in my childhood, all the ugliness will be used for my benefit. That is true in your work experience.  The hard part is to realize that.  I loved what Jake said in his letter about following the Spirit. Trust yourself, the Lord trusts you so trust in yourself.  Haters gunna Hate

Anyways this week my comp and I switched things up - dropped the people that don't keep any commitments and starting anew.  I feel like Utah switching from WAC or whatever to PAC 12.  Struggling for the first part but I believe we are going to get rolling sometime. We had 2 days in a row where not one person let us in and just walked for 8 hours... But I have faith that the field is white ready to harvest and we just got to get some thorns to get to the good stuff.  We are getting a lot, a lot better and I'm trying to learn how to love.  It's hard.

Have a good week, trust yourself, have patience and love.

Love you!

Juan Pablo & Diet

Hola!

Well, I had a great week to start off the new year. I had dinner with Juan Pablo's family again. I love that family! This is a foto de su familia and more asado and had a great time. The other elder in the pension got a new comp and elder Moro is gone which is sad we clicked really good but the new elder is cool too and is from the states so we have 3 white guys now!!
Juan Pablo's family

I had another pretty uneventful week again, just a lot of walking and lessions. We had exchanges Friday and I got to work with a elder from Peru - quiet guy and in my area.  It really pushed me because it was all me and forced me to just go for it. I really enjoyed it. I am learning a lot about myself and its kinda weird.

My Spanish is getting better but I'm not one bit happy with it. My comp doesn't help too much which is frustrating.  Well everything is good and I'm starting to get this down. I have a lot to learn and I'm stoked!
I ordered 2 pizzas and 15 empanadas last week.... this week I'm starting my diet.  Holidays are over and its time to trim up.  I really don't know what photos these are but oh well.  Another short letter, sorry!

Love you all,

December 30, 2013

Whats up!

So this past week was awesome!  It was very nice to see my fam and see their faces!  They got to see how fat I am... FYI I gained more weight in 4 months then my 4 years in high school trying to gain.. I'm just going to try to embrace it for now because I cannot stop eating this food.  For Christmas we had 3 asados. But anyway Christmas was good... it didn't feel like a Christmas at home but I really did enjoy the people I was with and to have the opportunity to serve the Lord on his birthday is a blessing.

I don't really have much to report on this week because I was able to talk to you guys. Elder moro got transferred (not my comp) so we get a new elder moving in today. Should be exciting but I'm sad because moro and I got along really good. I'm still in Romero with E Amestica and I really think we are going to have some good success this transfer. Just got to pray hard, smile a lot, love, and work like mad men.  Easy.

Love you guys. Have a happy new year (Cade - don't kiss too many girls at midnight)
